Dog Training Philsopy
For over 10 years, I have worked full time assisting various dogs and changing their behaviour for the better. This ranges from aggressively dangerous dogs that were either the boss or acted on fear, dogs that had been spoilt, had anxiety problems and barking dogs. This includes not only dogs but also out of control horses and cats who attacked their owners.
In our initial personalised one on one in house sessions I work with all the animal’s innate idiosyncrasies to discover the reason for their behaviour and explain they “why” to the owner/s. During this time I reveal the 8 main rules and if needed, up to 27 other behaviours following up if required. It’s as simple as where you actually feed your pet (respect for areas - leadership then love) and keeping them beside you on lead outdoors so they see you as the protector, not the other way around. They should feel safe and calm with you as their owner.

This training is all done without harsh methods or treats. In the wild, canine mothers do not offer their young treats as a reward, animals look to the leader of the pack and have respect for their decisions and orders to keep them safe – developing a bond of trust between owner and dog.
We offer personalised puppy classes, which is not just for socialising, instead for setting up lifelong behaviour habits, as well as retraining sessions for adult dogs to change behaviours. The training initially occurs in the home and then evolves to cafes, the beach, the dog park and walks to calmly discover new places and situations.
